SEND YOUR KIDS TO ART CAMP THIS SUMMER

WHO: Children as young as four through age 18

WHAT: Summer Art Camp

WHERE: The Hickory Museum of Art at 243 3rd Avenue NE Hickory

WHEN: June 15 to August 21, Monday through Friday with two sessions, morning and afternoon.

HOW MUCH: HMA members pay $50 and non-members pay $70.

With so many options to choose from, there's bound to be a class to fit your child's schedule.

Young artists can learn more about famous artists in the Stop and Van Gogh class, create fan-trash-tic recycled art in Garbology 101, or clown around in Under the Big Top. Teens have the opportunity to further develop their skills in Fantasy Handscapes by learning classical drawing techniques or get creative in Playing with Food.

There are more than 25 classes to choose from!

Pick up a Summer Art Camps brochure at the Museum or print one off of the website at www.hickorymuseumofart.org  The Museum is looking for temporary summer camp teachers! High energy, creative individuals can call for more information.

HMA is looking for the following art supplies: paper towel tubes, small shells and plastic trays (like those hospitals use for bandages). If you know someone who owns a printing company and has unused paper or overstocks, HMA can use it in the classrooms! Please contact HMA at 828-327-8576 if you can donate!
