I have noticed that when working with buyers that some would love a swimming pool and some do not. When I lived in NJ it was somewhat of a negative to have one, In Florida it seemd like a necessity. In the Hickory NC real estate I feel it could go either way. I would leove to get some opinions about other parts of the country and see if having a listing with a swimming pool is great or a burden.

Although I personally would love a pool, I read some stats once, done by a developer of townhome complexes, that only 14% of buyers in same valued a pool. Sounds like a "negative"!

Hi Mike
I work in Florida and about 90% of my buyers love to have a pool, but once in a while I run into someone that is dead set on NOT having a pool, they do not want the cost or maintenance of a pool, or they are afraid their pets or children might fall in.
